Sand Vat
Sand vat filter, also known as quartz sand filter, adopts quartz sand as filter medium. Under certain pressure, granular quartz sands of certain thickness filter the water of high turbidity and effectively intersect the suspended substances, organics, colloid particles, microorganisms, odors and part of heavy metal ions in the water for purification. Quartz sand of various mesh numbers (of various diameters, including 0.6～1.2mm、1.0～2.0mm、3.0～5.0mm) can be selected, based on the requirements of water yield and water quality, for swimming water purification, reclaimed water treatment, softening water and pretreatment of pure water.
As a multi-medium filter, sand vat filter is usually used together with activated carbon filter, also used for pretreatment for RO equipment, hollow ultrafiltration apparatus, nanofiltration equipment and micro-filtration equipment to remove suspended substances and larger particles in water.
Sand vat filter adopts one or several filter media for normal temperature operation. Being acid, base and oxidation resistant, it is suitable for PH range of 2-13. The system is equipped with complete protective devices and monitoring instrument, and boasts backwash function. Pollutants like mud can be washed away quickly with less water consumption. Full automatic function can be set as required by the users. Under certain pressure, the medium contacts, absorbs and intersects raw liquids to remove the impurities for filtration. Usually materials filled inside include quartz sand, anthracite and particle porous ceramics. User may select based on the actual situations to effectively remove colloid particles and macromolecule organics.
It is applicable to water discharge of turbidity ≤5mg/L, being able to meet the standards of swimming pool. Also it can be used for reuse of reclaimed water, post-treatment of sewage biochemical treatment, and removal of suspended substances and solids in industrial water, domestic water and civil water supply system. It can be used for ion exchange softening, pretreatment for desalting system, coarse filtration of industrial water with lower requirements for water quality, swimming pool water circulating processing and cooling circulating water purification system.
