Sodium ion exchanger

     Na-ion exchanger, also called as sodium bed, can be divided into hydrogen and sodium types according to the medicament for resin regeneration; sodium-type cation exchange is called softener or na-ion exchanger. When the ion exchange resin capacity is saturate or suffers from long-term pollution from suspended substance, colloidal substance, organic substance, bacteria, alga, iron and manganese, the exchange capacity will decline. Thus, irregular retexture is needed for the resin as the circumstances may require.
 
     Surface water, underground water or reclaimed water contains calcium ((Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions which will generate incrustation endangering safe operation of the boiler during heating, evaporation and concentration. This kind of natural water is called hard water. When the hard water passes through ion exchanger (NaS), it will have exchange reaction with na ion adsorbing on exchanger, replaced in water, and turned into sodium salt. Since the solubility of sodium salt is high, and will be further increased with the rise of temperature, no incrustation will be formed. This process is called softening. But the na and magnesium ions are replaced in exchanger, and the sodium-type exchanger (NaR) changes into calcium type (CaR) so as to lose ability of exchange reaction with na and magnesium ions. Such phenomenon is valid sodium ion exchange. Reduce the valid salt for exchanger (NaCl) solution into na-type exchanger for producing soft water. Such phenomenon is called regeneration. The raw water is softened through softening——invalid——regeneration reduction——softening of na-ion exchanger in order to provide qualified softened water for boiler.
 
     Na-ion exchanger adopts ion exchange method, i.e. removes calcium and magnesium ion forming incrustation in water, ensuring safe and economical operation of the boiler. Meanwhile, it is featured by reasonable structure, low salt consumption, high-quality water and pressure-free generation, and is applicable to water feed treatment of boiler, thermal power plant, pharmacy, textile, circulating cooling, chemical engineering, light industry and electronic industry.
