Shallow sand filter

    Due to its good filtration efficiency, high regeneration capacity, low backwash water consumption, full automatic control, small land occupation and convenient installation, shallow sand filter has been widely applied in petrochemical, power and steel industries. Highly efficient in removing particles and reducing turbidity, it has become a mainstream filtration method currently.
    Filtration: for filtration, pressurized water flow into the water distribution system through the inlet of the filter tank and evenly reach the filter material layer where suspended substances are intersected. In the bottom of the filter, water collector of precise spaces is equipped. Filter water are collected evenly and flow out from the filter. The precise spaces on the water collector can effectively prevent filter material losses.
    Backwash: with the constant accumulation of impurities and increasing pressure losses, when differential pressure reaches a certain set value (or reach a set time value), the system will automatically transfer to the state of backwash. Pressurized water flow into the filter material layer through the water collecting device at the bottom of the filter, and wash to drop off and drain the pollutants.
    Fully automatic filtering system and modular design have been adopted. Multiple filtering units may be selected based on the flow. Backwash can be automatically activated based on time or differential pressure setting. The filtering units are backwashed one by one while the others are filtering at the same time. It boasts high backwash efficiency, short time, and less water consumption. The filter materials can better resist bacterium and the backwash effect is better.
    Water conservation: as the system has adopted unique water supply device and water collector, and tank of unified specification, no compressed air is required for backwash to make the medium evenly expanded for efficient backwash. The water for backwash is filtered clean water, thus, lower water consumption is realized. Water consumption for a single tank is only 1m3/minute while the time for backwash is 2-3 minutes. 
    Saving maintenance expense: the entire system has no mechanical or electronic valves and the backwash is controlled only by the unique multi-function valve. Due to the absence of abrasion and long service life of the unique multi-function valve, it requires lower maintenance expenses. 
     It can be used for filtration of urban residential water supply with sources from surface rivers, lakes, seas, reservoirs, wells and urban tap water, and for moving sands, suspended particles, algae and organics in water, as well as for agricultural irrigation. It is especially suitable for water sources of high flow and impurity content, for example for irrigation and water conservation, park and golf course lawn irrigation, water treatment for food processing, paper-making and power plants, and water pretreatment of pure water for industrial and medical use.
