Valveless filter
Valveless filter is a type of rapid filter without valves. During its operation, the water level of outflow remains constant while that of inflow rises in the sucker along with the head loss of the filter layer and increasing pressure. When the water level reaches the top of the siphon pipe and form siphon, automatic filter layer backwash will start and the waste water will be discharged through the siphon out of the pool. Inflow, outflow, rinsing and drainage of valveless filter require no valves but rely on waterpower for automatic operation, thus it boasts low operation expenses, convenient management, safe automation and integrated equipment. Coagulation tank, settling pond, filter and backwash water tank are integrated, making compact structure. Users may only make equipment foundation and connect inflow and outflow water pipes to put into operation. Meanwhile, this series are equipped with caps, rendering better sanitation and making outdoor installation possible. Compared with reinforced concrete filter, it has lighter dead load and occupies less area.
Raw water enters into the filter through the inflow pipe and is filtered from upside down at the filter layer. Clean water is injected into the water tank for storage from the communicating pipe, when the water tank is filled, water will flow to the clean water reservoir through the outflow pipe. The filter layer constantly intersects suspended substances, causing increasing resistance of the filter layer and improving water level of the siphon pipe. When the water level reaches the mouth of the siphon auxiliary pipe, water drops down from the pipe and brings away the air in the siphon down pipe with the exhaust pipe. When the vacuum degree reaches a certain value, siphon is formed. Then the water in the pipe will pass through the filter layer from downside up and backwash the filter materials. When the water level of the rinsing water tank decreases to the siphon breaking valve, the air enters the siphon pipe and breaks the siphon. The backwash is finished and the work of the next cycle starts. Therefore, unlike other filters, valveless filter requires no backwash pump or backwash water tower.
Valveless filter is the earliest filter device in China not using valves or control instruments but tactfully relying on siphon principle to realize automatic operation and rinsing. Compared with other filter equipment, it boasts the advantages of automatic operation, lower energy consumption, lower operation expenses, safety and reliability, as well as convenient management.
With water distribution reservoir, filter, U-type inflow and drainage tank integrated, the valveless filter is of compact structure. Users may only make equipment foundation and connect inflow and outflow water pipes to put into operation.
Valvesless filter is made of Q235 steel, has anti-corrosion treatment inside and painting outside. It is easy for installation.
Hydraulic pressure, electric power or compressed air is not required for providing power. All works are automatically controlled by the filter.
Compulsory rinsing system is set within the valaveless filter. If the head loss of the filter hasn’t reached the allowed value while advance rinsing is required, manual rinsing may be adopted.
Valvesless filter is free from maintenance and abrasion.
Valvesless filter is mainly applicable to the purification of all kinds of surface water, and to processing water of turbidity less than 3000ml/l for supplying domestic or industrial water. Also it can purify and reuse industrial waste water like cooling water, mine water and circulating water, improving the repeat utilization rate of water.
