Anion exchanger

    Anion exchanger, also known as anion bed, exchanges other anions with hydroxyl radical in anion resin. Anion exchanger can be divided into: na-ion exchanger, cation and anion beds and mixed bed. Anion exchanger is the commonest desalination equipment in water treatment. Based on the ion selectivity and balanced reaction principles of cation and anion exchange resin, the H+ and OH- adsorbed on the resin surface have replacement reaction with anion in water, removing soluble ion in water.
    Anion exchanger exchange capacity is saturate or polluted by suspended substance, colloidal substance, organic substance, bacteria, alga, iron and manganese in long term utilization so as to reduce the ion exchange capacity. Therefore, frequent retexture is needed for the resin as the circumstances may require.
    When the cation and anion resins are polluted by iron, the resin will turn into dark brown, reducing iron content of water in cation bed. Aeration treatment and manganese sand filtration are required for underground water with high iron content to remove iron. When the resin is polluted, iron should be removed with 10%-15% concentrated hydrochloric acid by soaking for 12 hours before washing.
     Anion exchange is the commonest water treatment technology. Ion exchanger is a kind of water treatment equipment that removes electrolyte ion in water by means of the ion selectivity and balanced reaction principles of cation and anion exchange resin, and is widely applied in water treatment, especially in preparing high purity water. Diverse combinations of cation and anion mixed columns can make the water quality meet higher requirements.
     Anion exchanger is mainly used in preprocessing of pure water treatment equipment such as boiler, thermal power plant, chemical engineering, light industry, medicine, biology, electronics and atomic energy, deionized water preparation for industrial production. Moreover, it can be applied in decoloration purification of food and medicine, recycling of precious metal and chemical materials and treatment of electroplating wastewater.
